Schiestel to miss AHL All-Star Game

Sabres prospect Drew Schiestel will miss the American Hockey League All-Star Game because of an injury suffered this week, the league announced today.

The Portland defenseman and teammate Luke Adam were selected to participate in the Jan. 30-31 All-Star event in Hershey, Pa., but Schiestel suffered an undisclosed injury during Tuesday's 2-1 win over Norfolk. Schiestel was one of three players lost in the victory, which ended with the Pirates using only nine forwards and five defensemen.
