Final practice before Philly

The Sabres are on the ice in HSBC Arena, getting their final workout in before traveling to Philadelphia for Game One on Thursday. All the players are present. The lines:

Thomas Vanek-Tim Connolly, Jason Pominville

Tyler Ennis-Brad Boyes-Drew Stafford

Nathan Gerbe-Paul Gaustad-Patrick Kaleta/Mark Mancari

Rob Niedermayer-Matt Ellis-Mike Grier/Cody McCormick

The Sabres practiced the power play for a while with the following units: Stafford-Vanek-Connolly, with Marc-Andre Gragnani and Pominville on the points; and Boyes-Gaustad-Ennis, with Chris Butler and Tyler Myers on the blue line.

The Flyers boast one of the league's most-potent group of forwards, so the Sabres are getting their defensemen ready right now. The Sabres are running a two-on-one drill, with the D-men left on an island.

More following practice.
