Andrej Sekera couldn't contain his glee today. The Buffalo defenseman, who missed the final two games with an upper-body muscle strain, got through practice and feels good about his chances of playing in Game One against Philadelphia on Thursday.
"Better than yesterday, that’s for sure," Sekera said with a booming smile. "I didn’t want to do nothing crazy there, but I tried to push through it and it felt pretty good. Still pain, but I think we’re in a good way."
The Flyers, meanwhile, practiced without captain Mike Richards. The team said it was a maintenance day, but Richards reportedly texted Comcast SportsNet to say he had a head cold and will be fine for the opener.
The News' hockey writers gathered at HSBC Arena to shoot a video analyzing the series, and the production is below.
