Ryan Miller skipped today's practice but he will join the Sabres on their flight to Washington this afternoon. The injured Buffalo goalie is still listed as day-to-day with an upper-body injury, though it's highly unlikely he'll play against the Capitals on Saturday or at Carolina on Sunday.
"It'll really depend on where he's at tomorrow," coach Lindy Ruff said in HSBC Arena. "He's doing OK. He's still day-to-day with an upper-body injury."
Third-string goaltender Patrick Lalime has taken over Miller's stall in the dressing room. Jhonas Enroth is odds-on choice to start in goal for the Sabres on Saturday.
"I want to play," Enroth said, "and to play back-to-back is always fun."
Patrick Kaleta practiced with the team for the first time since getting hurt March 6 in Minnesota. He is hopeful of returning next weekend for the final two games of the season. Ruff ruled out Mike Grier and Jochen Hecht for Saturday's game.
