The Sabres are reportedly close to locking up their biggest rising star.
Buffalo and defenseman Tyler Myers are nearing completion of a long-term contract extension, TSN's Bob McKenzie reported early this morning. McKenzie said the deal is said to be for six years and $33 million.
Myers, the NHL Rookie of the Year in 2010, is about to enter the final year of his three-season, entry-level contract.
