Bulletin: Stafford the latest scratch

The Sabres have just taken the ice for warmups in First Niagara Center and Drew Stafford is apparently the mystery injured forward Lindy Ruff referred to this morning who will not play tonight against the Washington Capitals. Stafford, who has only four goals and eight assists in 22 games, is believed to have a minor lower-body injury.

Paul Szczechura, called up late this morning from Rochester, will be in the lineup wearing No. 58. Brayden McNabb will make his NHL debut on defense wearing No. 81 in place of Robyn Regehr. Be sure to come back for our live game blog beginning at 7.
