Sabres recall Szczechura, meaning a regular forward isn't ready

Paul Szczechura is on his way back to Buffalo from Rochester, with the Sabres recalling the forward from the minors this afternoon.

Szczechura made his Sabres debut Saturday with a two-assist showing against Washington. He was sent back to the Amerks along with Corey Tropp and T.J. Brennan as it appeared the Sabres were getting healthier.

However, with Szczechura's recall, it is likely that either Drew Stafford or Patrick Kaleta isn't ready to face the Islanders tonight in First Niagara Center. Another possibility is a sudden illness to another forward. The Sabres will begin their pregame skate at around 6:30 tonight.
