Jeanneret update sounds like a player

By Mike Harrington

TORONTO -- Sabres spokesman Mike Gilbert told me this afternoon that legendary play-by-play voice Rick Jeanneret remains home and the team thinks it's possible he could be on the charter flight to Carolina on Wednesday afternoon for the game Thursday night.

In Lindy Ruff parlance, Jeanneret is day to day.

Jeanneret missed Sunday's opener and was replaced by WGR's Paul Hamilton. Kevin Sylvester, the host of the purchased-by-the-club "Sabres Hockey Hotline" on WGR, will do tonight's game with Rob Ray on MSG.
