Now that it appears there will be an NHL season, the Sabres and Edmonton Oilers have the same chance to win the 2013 Stanley Cup, oddsmakers figure.
The gambling Website Bovada.lv reissued its NHL odds regarding the Cup and the conference titles today, and the Sabres are right in the middle of the pack. They are given a 25-to-1 chance to win the Cup, 14th best in the league and tied with Edmonton.
Bovada pegs the Sabres at 12-to-1 to win the Eastern Conference, which is tied with Tampa Bay and Washington for sixth through eighth place.
The Pittsburgh Penguins, at 8-to-1, are the favorites to win the Cup.
