The Sabres canceled practice in Buffalo today, opting for an early exit to Long Island to beat the weather here and there. The plan is a practice this afternoon at Nassau Coliseum.
One player who won't be with them is defenseman Adam Pardy, who has been loaned back to Rochester after playing Tuesday in Ottawa and then getting scratched Thursday. That pretty much confirms the return of Andrej Sekera on Saturday against the Islanders.
While Saturday's game is a go, it will be interesting if Sunday's game here against Boston is played. The Bruins host Tampa Bay Saturday and then have to get here through the blizzard expected to drill New England. Good luck with that. (2 p.m. update: The Bruins-Tampa game has been moved from a 1 p.m. start to a 7 p.m. start to try to skirt the weather, which is expected to move out of New England by mid-day Saturday)
