SUNRISE, Fla. -- The messages being delivered by Ron Rolston during the Sabres' practice today center around bearing down on offense and scoring goals.
Here's why:
*Jochen Hecht has no goals in 20 games.
*Nathan Gerbe has no goals in 16 games.
*Marcus Foligno has no goals in 15 games and one in 20.
*Drew Stafford has one goal in 20 games.
*Jason Pominville has one goal in 10 games.
*Steve Ott has one goal in nine games.
*Tyler Ennis has one goal in seven games.
It's ugly, obviously.
The Sabres' lines in BB&T Center: Thomas Vanek-Cody Hogson-Pominville, Ott-Ennis-Gerbe, Hecht-Kevin Porter-Stafford, and Foligno-Grigorenko-Kaleta.
John Scott is skating as an extra, while the seven healthy defensemen and both goalies are on the ice. Injured blue-liner Jordan Leopold is working out away from the ice.
