The Sabres could have a very different look on the ice tonight when they host Winnipeg.
Based on the morning skate in First Niagara Center, it appears T.J. Brennan may replace Jordan Leopold on the blue line and Drew Stafford will play on the fourth line.
The lines:
Thomas Vanek-Cody Hodgson-Jason Pominville
Marcus Foligno-Tyler Ennis-Patrick Kaleta
Steve Ott-Jochen Hecht-Nathan Gerbe
John Scott-Cody McCormick-Drew Stafford
Extra: Mikhail Grigorenko
Defense pairs:
Robyn Regehr-Tyler Myers
Christian Ehrhoff-Alexander Sulzer
T.J. Brennan-Mike Weber
Jordan Leopold-Andrej Sekera
The power-play units:
Vanek-Ennis-Foligno, with Pominville and Brennan on the blue line.
Gerbe-Hodgson-Ott, with Myers and Ehrhoff.
The Sabres need to jump-start their power play against the struggling Jets penalty kill, hence the appearance of Brennan.
