BROSSARD, Quebec -- In the wake of last night's loss in Washington and, shall we say, interesting postgame session, the Sabres are taking today off. (While it may seem merciful, it's actually a CBA-mandated day).

Meanwhile, I've arrived in the Montreal suburbs for the Habs' practice in their palatial facility that includes replica retired numbers and Stanley Cup banners in the rafters of the main rink. Quite cool.
