Hodgson to IR; McNabb, Larsson get call

The Buffalo Sabres placed forward Cody Hodgson on injured reserve Wednesday and recalled defenseman Brayden McNabb and forward Johan Larsson from American Hockey League affiliate Rochester.

McNabb leads Amerks defensemen with 15 points in 19 games. He has played in five games with the Sabres this season.

Larsson has nine points in 13 AHL games with the Amerks. In 18 games for the Sabres and Minnesota Wild, he has one assist.

McNabb rejoins the Sabres after being sent to Rochester on Dec. 17. Larsson was assigned to the Amerks on Dec. 24 for three Spengler Cup games.

The Sabres play the Wild in Minnesota on Thursday night.
