Omark expected to take Konopka's spot in Sabres' lineup

By John Vogl

Zenon Konopka's run of penalties is about to land him in the press box.

The Sabres center is expected to sit when Florida visits Buffalo on Tuesday. He's taken four penalties in six games with the Sabres, and the opposition has scored on three of the power plays.

"It's a fine line," Konopka said today after practice in First Niagara Center. "I can't put myself in a position where a so-so, 50-50 call can go against me."

Konopka skated as an extra along with Kevin Porter. The lines were: Matt Moulson-Tyler Ennis-Drew Stafford, Steve Ott-Cody Hodgson-Linus Omark, Marcus Foligno-Brian Flynn-Zemgus Girgensons, and John Scott-Ville Leino-Matt Ellis.

Omark has been a healthy scratch the past two games but may get a chance on a scoring line.

"Cody and Ott is really good players," Omark said. "I have to produce. It's an opportunity if I play with those guys."

Defenseman Henrik Tallinder might return from injury against the Panthers.
