As the snow started to come down hard on Tuesday in the New York City area, work stopped on the ice rink at Yankee Stadium.
But the NHL insists the rink will still be ready for Sunday's game between the New York Rangers and New Jersey Devils.
The crew was supposed to paint the ice surface white to prepare for today's painting of the lines and logos.
As of Tuesday night, the plan to finish the painting Wednesday was still in place.
"What this does is, [Wednesday] is going to be a longer day for us because we have to make sure we get all of the white down and all the lines and logos and sealed up and ready to build up from there," NHL senior manager of facilities operations Mike Craig said in an article on NHL.com.
