Ill Ehrhoff a game-time decision for Sabres; Miller to get start against Avs

By John Vogl

DENVER – Christian Ehrhoff wants to play. Ted Nolan will decide if the defenseman is able to play.

Ehrhoff, who missed the Sabres’ last game because of illness, will take part in the pregame skate this afternoon prior to the meeting with Colorado. Nolan will judge the defenseman’s fitness before deciding to use him.

“He feels he’s ready to play,” Nolan said today in Pepsi Center. “He hasn’t been on the ice for a few days, so we’ll see how he feels in warm-up. He still feels a tad under the weather a little bit, but we’ll see how he does after warm-up and make a decision then.

“We told him to push it hard in warm-up. Everybody wants to play, but sometimes you have to make better judgments on how you’re feeling. … Certainly, we want him in the lineup, but we’ve got to make sure he’s ready to go.”

Ryan Miller will make his second start of the two-game road trip after a 38-save showing in Phoenix.

John Scott will take the roster spot of injured Matt Moulson.
