Jordan Nolan suspended for punch

by Amy Moritz

Jordan Nolan, son of Buffalo Sabres coach Ted Nolan, was suspended for one-game for a sucker punch he threw Sunday night.

Nolan, a forward with the L.A. Kings, took a shot at Edmonton's Jesse Joensuu.

In the video from NHL Player Safety, it was noted that Joensuu had both his arms tied up by the linesmen and that the scrum had essentially ended. Nolan had been fined once before, for a cross-checking penalty in March 2013.
