Who's Anders Lee? Sabres fans may find out tonight

By John Vogl

UNIONDALE -- Like the Sabres, the Islanders have been decimated by trades and injuries. New players are getting a look in New York, and Anders Lee is taking advantage.

Lee, a 23-year-old forward selected in the sixth round of the 2009 draft, has been a revelation since joining the Islanders a few weeks ago. He scored two goals in his debut Feb. 27 and has kept on rolling. Lee has six goals and nine points in eight games since coming to New York from Notre Dame.

Lee had a goal and assist during Friday's 4-3 loss to San Jose, the second straight game he put up those stats. The 6-foot-2, 225-pounder from Minnesota has points in four of the last five games.
