Sabres will hold annual development July 14-18 in Buffalo

By John Vogl

The Sabres are banking on their prospects to eventually turn around the organization. Buffalo will get a look at the youngsters next month.

The Sabres announced they will hold their annual development camp July 14-18 in First Niagara Center. This will be the third straight summer the camp will be held downtown rather than Niagara University.

There will be on-ice sessions open to the public every day but July 16, including a Blue and Gold scrimmage at 7 p.m. July 15. There will be approximately 40 prospects in attendance, including those who will be picked during this month's NHL Draft.

The tentative schedule is as follows:

July 14 On-ice coach’s practice: 10 a.m. – 12:15 p.m.

July 15 Pre-scrimmage skates: 10:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.; Blue and Gold Scrimmage: 7 p.m.

July 16 Off Day

July 17 Practice/on-ice testing: 10 a.m. – 12:15 p.m.

July 18 Practice/three-on-three tournament: 10 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.
