The kings of the comebacks continue to roll on.
Los Angeles overcame a multigoal deficit for the fourth time this postseason, and Justin Williams capped the rally early in overtime Wednesday night to give the Kings a 3-2 victory over New York in the opening game of the Stanley Cup final.
“It certainly helps that we’ve done it time and time again,” Williams said. “It’s a great result of the hockey game for us, definitely, but we have a lot of things to clean up. Certainly not our best game by any standards, especially ours, but we were able to get it done. That’s the most important thing.”
The Rangers will try to even the series Saturday in Los Angeles.
