Attorneys for the Buffalo Teachers Federation and the Buffalo Public Schools were in court this morning regarding the involuntary transfer of 54 teachers.
The district is asking State Supreme Court Justice Gerald J. Whalen to vacate the arbitration decision that directed the district to halt the transfers because it violated the union contract.
Today's court date was procedural.
The judge directed BTF to respond to the district's motion to vacate by Sept. 11; the district then has until Sept. 14 to respond.
Both sides are scheduled to appear in court on Sept. 18 for oral arguments.
