UPDATED: See Paladino's latest adjustments to his motions and resolutions at the end of this blog post.
Last week, new incoming board member Carl Paladino issued a long list of 32 issues and resolutions that he wants to see the Buffalo school board take up at its Wednesday meeting. Normally, I would have posted these last week, but I was out of town late last week for the holiday break.
Wednesday's meeting promises to be a long one for many reasons. It's the only regularly scheduled summer meeting the board has before mid-August, but the first regular meeting with the newly seated board members, all of whom presumably have their own thoughts and questions to share and discuss before the long break. That includes Carl.
Meanwhile, the controversy regarding instrumental music cuts rages on and will likely lead to more public outcries at the meeting for the restoration of funding.
The News will live blog the Wednesday meeting, no matter how long it is, so be watching this space. I'll also post the full board agenda here soon. In the meantime, here's Carl's memo to the board president outlining his 32 resolutions, all of which he plans to introduce on Wednesday.
UPDATE: Paladino made several changes/corrections/additions to his original issues and resolutions. Click here for the link to the changes he's issued. Below is his original document:
