Back when the state Education Department released the results of teacher evaluations for the first time, state officials said they planned to release district-by-district results in late fall or early winter.
That was October. The detailed evaluation results have not yet been released.
What's the hold up?
Jonathan Burman, an Education Department spokesman, provided this written response last week when asked when the information would be made public: "The Department takes every effort to ensure that personally identifiable information is protected for both students and teachers. The legislative requirement for the public disclosure of this data rightfully requires this protection. We are continuing to take every measure possible to ensure that our data release protects personally identifiable information."
