Trivia: Few and far between

The Philadelphia Phillies won just their second World Series title in their 126-year history Wednesday, tying the Chicago Cubs for the fewest among National League teams that have been around since the turn of the century. The Phillies had held that dubious title alone before beating Tampa Bay.

The American League was formed in 1901 and the first World Series between the National and American Leagues was played in 1903. Today's question is: What original American League franchise has won the fewest World Series titles?

   A) Detroit Tigers B) Chicago White Sox C) Cleveland Indians D) Washington Senators/Minnesota Twins.

Talk about it in the comment section below and look for the answer in the On The Web section of the print edition of The News on Sunday, Nov. 2.
