The Buffalo Bandit sometimes don't exactly shout their roster moves out from the top of the First Niagara Center. In Wednesday's case, they had some transactions that popped up on the league's website.
The Bandits activated goalie Anthony Cosmo, who was acquired from Minnesota earlier in February. They also activated veteran defender Darryl Gibson from the injury list.
To make room for them, Buffalo dropped Hamburg's Frank Resetarits and transition player Jimmy Purves. Resetarits played in only one game this season and had one assist. He had trouble getting playing time in Buffalo, and injuries didn't help him either. Purves had two points in four games, mostly in a transition role.
If you are a Bandits' fan and you can count, you realize that the Bandits now have three goalies on the active roster. That is extremely unusual. I would have thought that Angus Goodleaf would have wound up on the practice squad.
The Bandits certainly aren't standing still in the face of a franchise-record four-game losing streak. Now we'll see if it helps.
