From Business Today:
National Fuel Gas Co. wants to get you into a natural gas powered vehicle. It is offering incentives to people buying vehicles and to those opening natural gas stations. For the station builders, the utility company would offer $10,000 to $200,000 to help with upfront costs. For car buyers, the utility will offer unspecified incentives in exchange for long-term contracts to buy fuel. Natural gas vehicles cost $7,000 to $22,000 more than conventional gas cars. The effort is an attempt to get an alternative fuel source started. With gasoline at about $3.70 a gallon and rising, the $1.50 a gallon price of natural gas looks pretty good.
The growing Amherst medical corridor could see another medical office on Sheridan Drive. First Amherst Development wants to build a 90,000-square-foot building on Sheridan Drive at the I-290, beside the Marriott Courtyard hotel. It would join the growing number of medical facilities along Sheriday Drive and Maple Road near the Millard Fillmore Suburban Hospital.
