Lame Duck
OK, the gloves are off. The Bills want to play coy? They don't want to announce Dick Jauron's contract extension? Fine. As far as I'm concerned, there is no extension. If there's a signed deal, why wouldn't they make it public? The Bills were riding high when the deal was originally reported, on top of the AFC East. Why wouldn't they tell the world they were fully behind the coach? Maybe because it was a verbal agreement and Jauron never signed it.
Who knows? Without solid information, we can only speculate. Maybe there are provisions in the agreement that nullify it if the Bills don't reach the playoffs, or if they don't finish .500. Hey, I'm just trying to figure out reasons for the silence. Ralph Wilson was asked about the contract and said he doesn't discuss contracts. Jauron said he wasn't going to discuss it. It's an embarrassment to the organization.
Anyway, I'm left with only one conclusion: Jauron is a lame duck head coach with six games left in his third season. He is on the hot seat. If the Bills continue their slide and don't finish at least 8-8, that'll mean Jauron has been under .500 three years in a row. Even he admitted this was a key season for the organization. How would it look for him to go 7-9. Imagine Jauron stringing three 7-9 records and getting three more years. What kind of standard is that?
Until the Bills tell me otherwise, the man is coaching for his job.

Unfortunately for you, Lloyd, there are no grounds to delete my December 1st post. See, I actually made a comment with respect to Jerry's post, namely the ramifications, or lack thereof, of calling out an owner in print.
Lloyd is a tattler.

"Get real"
What's holding you back, Chad, from doing that?
If you're going to delete this post, guys, also delete Chad's post from Dec. 1 at 5:39 PM. Thank you.

"A CAPITAL way to handle these blockhead owners!"
In what world, Lloyd? Do you think owners change their dealings because some journalist is salty that he didn't get called back. Get real, Lloyd.

"Jerry got mad at Golisano, too, for not returning his phone calls. This is how he plays ball: no returned phone calls= getting taken to task in print. That's how Jerry rolls. Nobody should be surprised by this."
A CAPITAL way to handle these blockhead owners!

" I know he expects not to live forever and his heirs will probably sell the team versus the NY state inheritence taxes, he's looking out for #1"
And that "#1" ought to be... the FANS!
In business, the customer(viz: the fan) is always right.
Fans need to start demanding better of Wilson.
Here's a new incentive for Ralphie:
Hire a REAL G-M, and a REAL head coach, or we stop buying tickets and merchandise.
Whoever hires Bill Cowher, THAT'S the team to root for!

Jerry hates JP. He can't forget the "well, you're the expert right buddy?" comment JP made to him at a press conference. Of course Jerry had been killing him in the paper for weeks before that and after the comment he launched an all out assault to get JP benched. I guess Jerry can dish but he can't take. Right buddy? JP never had any help around him, including consistent coaching, but Jerry had some sort of personal vendetta against him and made it his mission in life to blame JP for everything from global warming to the war in Iraq. Trent is Jerry's boy, so beating Kansas City is like beating the Giants in Jerry's eyes.
Oh, and since the "game plan" against Kansas City was so wonderful, I assume it will be using it from now on and getting the same results.

Don't you know how to tackle yet at the Pro-level? First Reggie Corner misses the "statue" Brady Quinn on a blind side blitz, and now Kiwakie Mitchell trys to "shove" KC QB Tyler Thigpen to the ground in an attempt to sack him in the end zone? Both were big plays and could've have impacted both games dramatically in the Bills favor...I mean don't you learn how to tackle in little league?

Apply for a job at NBC because you have no objectivity. Edwards beats a 1-9 team yesterday and suddenly this proves "he is back on his feet". Let me guess if say...ohhhh Losman stunk it up last week then looked like a hall of famer a week later somehow I doubt you would be singing his praises this week. I think we would get some back handed "Lets see him do it against a good team" Well Sullivan? Lets see you're game managing weenie QB who sounds as if he is reading everything of a Q-card do it against a good team. Why do I need to write that, don't you get paid for this?

Who cares about Juron's contract? I just want to beat Kansas City and avoid becoming the laughing stock of the NFL. Oh, wait. Too late. The Bills already are the laughing stock of the NFL.
