News 4 Remains No. 1, Channel 7 Sinks Some More

The July ratings period is the least important of the year, but that doesn't mean Channel 4 isn't celebrating its win in all news time periods.

It even took back first place at 6 a.m, after losing that time slot battle to Channel 2's "Daybreak" in July of 2007.

Third-place Channel 7, which is in a nasty labor-management battle that has led to a union campaign asking viewers to turn off the station, saw percentage ratings drops ranging from 15 percent to 27 percent for the 11 p.m., 6 p.m. and 5 p.m. newscasts.
