T.O. and the Supermodel: The Drama Continues
I guess I should have seen this one coming. Buffalo Bills star Terrell Owens and supermodel teammate Joanna Krupa will live another day on ABC's "The Superstars."
The network confirmed today that Owens and Krupa -- who were the first team eliminated Tuesday night after Owens had trouble on a kayak and on an obstacle course -- are returning to the show because an injury forced another team to leave.
"The fireworks between them continue," added an ABC publicist.
He was alluding to all the verbal shots that Krupa hurled at Owens and his athletic prowess. Rather than repeat them, I advise you to read ny previous blog on the show.
The return of Owens and Krupa makes sense because they were the most interesting team in the eight-team competition Tuesday.
An astute reader of my previous blog noted that Owens was shown playing basketball in a promo, which is the reason that ABC decided it had to confirm he and Krupa were coming back.
Though the fireworks between them may continue, I'm expecting Owens and Krupa will perform better in future events because she told me in an interview that "we really kicked butt" and "we're a good team."
What do you think of the return of Owens and Krupa? Will you watch the show again next week? Or did her language and attitude in the premiere turn you off?
-- Alan Pergament

Neither her language nor attitude were much of a deterrent. but the show was. What a piece of garbage.

haha i knew they were coming back, i think their return is great. I'm a huge T.O fan and i knew something was wrong, i watched all their promos and finally found their flaw in the commercials. i'm grateful krupa said that to him. "hey what goes around comes around". i'm sure Tony romo, Donovan Mcnabb, and Jeff Garcia laughed at this.

The original 'Superstars' was a high class, well produced sporting event; This new program is a piece of junk.
T.O. is teamed up with some unknown 'star' from the D-list. His agent should have seen this coming.
The sets are cheesy; the events are boring; the announcers are D-list; some events are shot at night to save money. Like a lot of shows these days, this one relies on hype to succeed. But then the target demographic is young, probably never watched the original 'Superstars' and isn't very discriminating. If you are raised on a diet of junk TV, you might think its good.
BTY, why was my original post deleted? I said that T.O. should be praised for his restraint - for NOT calling his partner the "B" word or the "C" word, because clearly, she is both. Is the NEWS censor that tight-azzed to delete that?

Krupa has been on over 120 covers worldwide and got signed for her own network Tv show before ABC show was even on the map..And I read she got a huge record deal with a co-singer. I saw the press release on her new upcoming TV show. All inked prior to "The Superstars" . She is on her way to A-list.
I am a huge fan of hers. Also because she is such a dedicated activist who puts her money and time where her mouth is.
She sure had reason to get upset with TO - of course ABC edited it all to its liking - and for sure TO would not be so friendly with her today if he felt mistreated by her. He knows....
Plus: she makes the ratings - and she actually makes his stuck-up self look interesting and forces him to be teammate.

I LIKE Superstars, mostly because it seems to be straight-up competition with events that require general strength and fitness -- not geared to any one sport. For once, the wins/losses did not appear rigged . . . but the return of TO is a huge negative. They earned their ejection, why take it away from them??? Enjoying the other guys immensely.
