Former Buffalo TV Executive Wins Primary

Remember Steve Kimatian, the lawyer who at different times in the 1980s and 1990s was the general manager of Channel 4 and Channel 7?

On Tuesday night, Kimatian won the Republican nomination for mayor of Syracuse.

It is being called an upset in Syracuse. He needs an even bigger upset in the general election in November because Democrats out-number Republicans in that city by 3-1, according to local newspapers.

If you knew or worked for Kimatian in his Buffalo days, did you see him as having the potential to run a city?
