Channel 2 News A Winner After "Loser"

How important is the lead-in to the 11 p.m. news?

A few days after finishing third in the November sweeps, Channel 2 had a one-night victory at 11 p.m. Tuesday

Channel 2 was able to get the victory because it got a strong lead-in from the reality show "The Biggest Loser," which replaced "The Jay Leno Show" as the night's lead-in.

The Tuesday win would seem to validate the view that Leno's show is killing the newscasts at Channel 2 and other NBC affiliates across the country at 11 p.m.
