Fewell Gets NFL Network Endorsement

It will be interesting to hear what NFL Network announcers Bob Papa and Matt Millen say about interim Buffalo Bills Coach Perry Fewell during tonight's game with the New York Jets from Toronto.

Fewell has already received the endorsement of the NFL Network's Mike Martz, the former head coach of the St. Louis Rams. This week he said of Fewell: "He is very sharp. This is a terrific pick for a head coach. He did a great job as (defensive) co-ordinator and he has the respect of the players. I love the guy."

The love from Martz shouldn't be a surprise since he has a tie with Fewell. Fewell was his secondary coach for two years in St. Louis.

Martz apparently is following the Bills situation closely. Last week, ESPN.com reporter Tim Graham reported a league source said Martz is interested in the Bills coaching job.

By the way, tonight's game is being carried by Channel 7 here, as well as The NFL Network.
