Channel 2 part-time meteorologist Mary Beth Wrobel will have her last day at the station on Saturday before leaving for a job outside of television on the West Coast.
The station's general manager, Jim Toellner, said that Wrobel has accepted a sales and marketing job in Seattle, Wash. In other words, Wrobel will be trading snow for rain.
She will be ending a lengthy career here as a popular meteorologist at both Channel 2 and Channel 4.
Wrobel joined Channel 2 as a fill-in weathercaster in December of 2009, about six months after she was let go by Channel 4 after nine years as the weekend meteorologist there.
