Niagara Falls National Heritage Area awards grants

The Niagara Falls National Heritage Area has awarded more than $48,000 in grants to local organizations. Here are the recipients:

History Center of Niagara - $5,000

Village of Youngstown -$4,000

Niagara Falls Public Library - $5,005.55

Historical Association of Lewiston -$9,800

McClew Interpretive Center at Murphy's Orchard - $10,000

Niagara Arts and Cutlural Center - $10,000

Neto Hatinakwe Onkwehowe - $5,000

"The NFNHA is excited to have the opportunity to support local organizations that are diligently working hard to preserve, protect and promote the remarkable cultural, historical, and natural resources within the Niagara Falls National Heritage Area," the group said in a written statement.
