Public meeting planned on proposal for South Junior site

A potential purchaser of the former South Junior High School site will talk with the public about its plans next week.

CB-Emmanuel Realty LLC has expressed interest in buying former school site and turning it into a building with both commercial and residential components.

A public meeting will be held at 6 p.m. Thursday in Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center's auditorium A. It's on the ground floor of the hospital at 621 10th St.

The meeting will be an opportunity for community input on the proposal. A partner in the firm, Ben Upshaw, will be on hand.

The site is owned by the Niagara Falls City School District.
