Self-storage facility, Steve Baldo expansion approved

The city Planning Board on Wednesday night gave the go-ahead to several projects, including a $10 million hotel project downtown.

In addition to the proposal from Plati Niagara (which was previously written about here), the board:

-Approved a plan from Apartments Niagara's Jeffrey Williams for 80 self-storage units on a vacant parcel at 9805 Porter Road. The site had previously been used as outdoor volleyball courts for the neighboring Cruisers bar.

-Approved plans from Steve Baldo Ford on Niagara Falls Boulevard to build a 5,000-square-foot addition to the business, while also taking down other sections of the building totalling about 3,800 square feet.
