Zoning Board to hear plans for Third Street hotel

The city's Zoning Board of Appeals today will hear about plans to turn an existing commercial building on Third Street into a hotel.

Sheikh R. Elahi has requested a variance for 452 Third St., which would allow only six parking spaces when nine are required under city code.

Also on today's agenda is a variance request for Norampac's Greenpac Mill project. The company is asking to make a portion of an emergency road 20 feet wide, rather than the 24-foot width that's required.
