Popeyes proposal canceled for Niagara Falls

A proposed Popeyes Louisiana Chicken at Niagara Falls Boulevard and Military Road is off the table.

The Benchmark Group of Amherst that manages the Mil-Pine Plaza has told the city it will not move forward with drainage improvements to the plaza the city required in connection with the proposal, senior planner Thomas J. DeSantis told the Planning Board Wednesday night.

The restaurant, which was proposed in July, would have been the second in Western New York. The other is planned for Elmwood Avenue in North Buffalo.
