Public meetings in Niagara Falls government this week

The City Council is holding two budget hearings this week - 4:30 p.m. Tuesday on the police and fire department budgets; 4:30 p.m. Wednesday on code enforcement and Department of Public Works. Both in Council Chambers in City Hall, 745 Main St.

The Housing Authority board of commissioners will meet at 4 p.m. Wednesday in the authority’s executive offices, 744 10th St.

The Planning Board will meet at 6 p.m. Wednesday in Council Chambers in City Hall. The board is expected to vote on plans for a four-story, 72-room Comfort Suites planned for Niagara Falls Boulevard between 70th and 71st streets.
