Audio: Police chief outlines department's use of data-tracking management program

Niagara Falls Police Superintendent Bryan DalPorto talked about his department's use of CompStat at Monday's City Council meeting.

DalPorto was invited to speak after Councilwoman Kristen M. Grandinetti expressed a desire for the city to explore increased use of real-time data in the management of some city departments.

The system allows the department to identify problems, put something in place to try to fix them and to evaluate whether they've been addressed, DalPorto told lawmakers.
