Falls lawmakers to consider opposing proposed charter school

The Niagara Falls City Council is expected to vote tonight on a measure opposing the establishment of a new charter school.

A group has applied to the state to create the Academy of Learning and Leadership Charter School within the city limits.

The resolution before the Council urges the Board of Regents and the state to "reject the establishment of an additional charter school in Niagara County." (To view the resolution, scroll to the second-last page of the second document below.)
