Niagara Falls lawmakers tonight will consider awarding a $22.7 million construction contract for the planned train station in the city's North End.
Scrufari Construction was deemed to be the low bidder out of two firms who submitted bids. LPCiminelli was the other firm who submitted a bid.
City and project officials have said construction would take between 18 and 24 months to complete. This is anticipated to be the final phase of the approximately $41 million, three-stage project. Almost 90 percent of the project's costs are being picked up by the state and federal governments.
