Two weeks left to submit outdoor recreation proposals for Niagara Falls

Companies interested in giving Niagara Falls a new array of outdoor experiences have two more weeks to get their proposals to the state.

The deadline to submit proposals for new outdoor recreation programming and facilities, which had been today, was extended last month. The new deadline is 2 p.m. May 30.

The state is looking for vendors to turn buildings in state parks into restaurants and lodging and to offer things like snoeshowing, horseback riding and ziplining. In this story written in March, there's a more detailed look at what the state is seeking.

Here's the request for proposals the state issued in March. A few clarifications have been issued by the state since the initial issuance.
