Tourism, hospitality workers tour Niagara County attractions

Powervista

About a dozen people who interface with tourists on a daily basis are learning more about some Niagara County attractions today.

The Niagara Tourism & Convention Corp. is hosting a familiarization tour for hospitality and tourism workers, including hotel workers, motel operators and volunteer greeters. The day-long tour of sites  in western Niagara County has already hit  the New York Power Authority's Power Vista and Our Lady of Fatima Shrine in Lewiston.

Upcoming stops include the Silo restaurant, Niagara Jet Adventures, Old Fort Niagara, Olcott Beach Carousel Park and Marjim Manor. There will also be visits with officials from Whirlpool Jet Boat Tours and the Lower River Region Chamber of Commerce.

After that, there are optional stops at the Maid of the Mist and the Cave of the Winds in Niagara Falls State Park.
