NFC Development Corp. will meet at 4 p.m. Monday in Council Chambers in City Hall, 745 Main St.

The Urban Renewal Agency will meet at 4:30 p.m. or immediately after the NFC Development Corp. meeting Monday in Council Chambers.

The Tourism Advisory Board will meet at 6 p.m. Monday in Room 117 in City Hall.

The Housing Authority board of commissioners will meet at 4 p.m. Tuesday in the authority’s executive offices at 744 10th St.

Petitions for Niagara Falls School Board available beginning Monday

Petitions will be available starting Monday for those interested in running for the Niagara Falls School Board this spring.

Those interested in being a candidate for School Board can pick up petitions from the District Clerk's Office in the administration building, 630 66th St., between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m.

The Tourism Advisory Board will meet at 6 p.m. Monday in room 117 in City Hall, 745 Main St.

The board of trustees of Niagara Falls Public Library will meet at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday in the library, 1425 Main St.

Mayor Paul A. Dyster will hold his State of the City address at 6 p.m. Wednesday in the Niagara Falls Culinary Institute, 28 Old Falls St.

Niagara Falls School District releases community survey

The Niagara Falls School District is asking for input from the community about how it's doing.

The survey, which can be completed online here, covers a variety of topics, including academics, safety, communication and the perception of the district.

"Using the results of the survey, the district will create action plans to address areas of concern that may arise from the information gathered, or increase efforts in areas that are working well," Superintendent Cynthia A. Bianco said in a written statement.

Niagara Falls School Board to assess polling site changes

The Niagara Falls School Board will hold a special meeting Thursday night with an agenda that includes talking about recent changes to polling sites.

An agenda for the meeting has not yet been released, but a district spokesperson confirmed the polling place discussion.

Flood watch for Niagara Falls' Cayuga Island cancelled

The New York Power Authority has cancelled a flood watch for Cayuga Island in Niagara Falls, Mayor Paul A. Dyster has announced on his Facebook page.

The watch remains in effect for the Robert Moses Parkway beneath the north Grand Island bridge.

Flood gauges are two feet below the damage level and falling, Dyster reports.
