Thanks for the gear!

Facemask

This is a pic of me in the gun turret of an 1151 Humm-V, in all my body armor.

My Wife and Father pitched in to buy me the Kevlar mask, to keep my face in-tact.  The mask is not issued, it's a prototype, which saved my face the last time we were ambushed.

The pic was taken in the Jalrez Valley (about 20 miles west of Kabul)  which is one of the real danger zones here in Afghanistan.  (On another side note, myself and my team are in the Infantry.

This is something every NATO soldier should have.

Sure it's expensive, but even if it would save just one life it would be worth the cost.

plus I think it makes soldiers look more intimidating, which in combat is never a bad thing

MARINE

I was wondering where they bought the mask from.

It is too bad that the Dept of Defense does not provide ALL equipment for these heroes. Our family, too, had to send items to our son in Afghanistan in 2003-04.

SUPPORT OUR TROOPS WITH ALL NECESSARY EQUIPMENT TO PROTEXT THEM.

Heroes, keep your heads down!

Thank You for going after the people who attacked us on 911.

Stay safe and God bless you always!

Wow! First time I've seen a mask of that type in use. I'd love to hear more about its good and bad points. You and your family deserve our thanks for pioneering new equipment to protect our forces in the field.

Thank you,
