Canada blitzed Switzerland, 8-0, Monday night in an exhibition in Oshawa. Sabres draftees Marcus Foligno and Zack Kassian played together on a line centered by Sean Couturier, the Drummondville phenom ticketed by many to be the No. 1 pick in next year's NHL draft.
Couturier, the youngest player on the team had a goal and three assists. One of those came on Foligno's goal just 1:25 into the game. Eight different scorers and 13 players with points is a good way to start for a Canadian team still searching for its primary offensive players. Check out the highlights from TSN here.
I'll be getting a look at the Canadians tonight against Sweden at the Air Canada Centre in Toronto and I'll have some updates on this blog.
